Values we bring to your care

We provide care that is weight-inclusive, trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and HAES®-aligned.

Weight-inclusive care

We are committed to providing holistic and weight-inclusive care that is informed by the principles of Health At Every Size® (HAES®). We understand that health is complex and cannot be reduced to a person's weight or body size. We stand against weight-based stigma and the harmful societal pressure to conform to a narrow standard of "health." We honour and respect the diversity of body shapes and sizes. Our approach focuses on overall wellbeing and improving measurable health outcomes, rather than trying to achieve a specific weight or body size. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive space where clients can learn to nourish their bodies and minds holistically.

Non-diet nutrition

We recognise the importance of a healthy and nourishing relationship with food for optimal health and wellbeing. We reject the traditional dieting mentality, which can often be harmful and restrictive, and instead adopt a non-diet approach that empowers individuals to make food choices that align with their personal values and self-care needs. Our goal is to help our clients develop a peaceful, guilt-free relationship with food that promotes both mental and physical wellbeing in the long term.

Client-centred care

We believe in placing our clients at the center of their care and respecting their autonomy, experiences, and decision-making. We understand that clients are the expert on their own bodies, and we are here to provide evidence-based information and guidance, with permission and in a collaborative manner. Our goal is to empower clients to make informed decisions that align with their values and goals, and to support them in achieving what matters most. We value open communication and welcome questions, ideas, and experiences. We strive to create a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages mutual trust and respect.
